Community Guidelines
Version 1.0 · Last updated: July 23, 2026 · Operated by Borja de la Riva Ruiz, Spain
Troy Circle is a curated, application-only community for adult gay men. These Guidelines explain the conduct we expect, what is not allowed, and how moderation and appeals work. They complement our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Child Safety Standards. Breaking these Guidelines can lead to content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community.
1. Respect and consent
- Treat every member with respect. Consent is required for any interaction, image, or exchange.
- No harassment, intimidation, threats, bullying, or hate based on ethnicity, HIV status, gender identity, disability, religion, or any other characteristic.
- No unsolicited explicit content. Sharing intimate content requires the other person's consent.
2. Strictly prohibited
The following will result in immediate removal and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement:
- Any content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor (see our Child Safety Standards). Zero tolerance.
- Sexual services, prostitution, escorting, or human trafficking.
- Non-consensual sharing, or threats to share, intimate images (revenge porn), and sextortion.
- Sharing another person's private information, photos, or messages without consent (doxxing), including screenshots of private chats.
- Impersonation, fake profiles, and misrepresenting your identity or age.
- Sale or promotion of illegal drugs, weapons, or other illegal goods and services.
- Fraud, scams, financial exploitation, extortion, and blackmail.
- Spam, mass solicitation, bots, and unauthorised commercial promotion.
- Attempts to scrape data, circumvent security, or manipulate the Moral Score or any rating mechanism.
3. Profiles and photos
- Use accurate information and photos of yourself. You must be 18 or over.
- Every profile photo is automatically screened by an AI system for nudity and possible minors, and may be hidden if flagged. If you believe a photo was hidden by mistake, you can request human review at hello@troycircle.app.
- Intimate details you choose to add are shown according to your visibility settings. Do not publish information you are not comfortable sharing with other members.
4. Safety off the platform
- Meeting other members is at your own discretion and risk. Meet in public first, tell someone where you are going, and trust your instincts.
- Troy Circle does not vet members' criminal history and is not responsible for members' offline conduct.
5. Reporting, moderation and appeals
You can report a profile or a chat from within the app. Reports go to a restricted moderation queue and are treated confidentially; child-safety reports are escalated as the highest priority. Good-faith reporters are protected from retaliation.
When we investigate a report, authorised staff may review the related conversation. Because messages are encrypted at rest (not end-to-end), authorised staff can decrypt content when necessary for a safety investigation or a valid legal request.
If we restrict your account or content, and unless the law prevents it (for example, in child-safety investigations), we will tell you the reason and you can ask a person to review the decision by emailing hello@troycircle.app. This does not limit your right to complain to a competent authority.
Emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. To report child-safety concerns, email hello@troycircle.app with the subject CHILD SAFETY REPORT.
